Building a modern storytelling platform for a more human brand

Wells Fargo Stories serves as the company's primary storytelling platform, sharing customer stories, community impact, employee perspectives, and brand initiatives. As the brand evolved, the experience needed to better reflect Wells Fargo's voice, improve content discoverability, and create a more engaging experience across audiences and devices.

Following the successful transformation of the Wells Fargo History site, I was brought in to help lead the creative evolution of Stories and extend many of the storytelling principles established there to a broader editorial platform. The opportunity was not simply to redesign a site, but to define how the Wells Fargo brand comes to life through story.

Working across UX, content strategy, design, development, production, and communications teams, we transformed Stories into a more cohesive editorial experience that balanced credibility with warmth while creating greater consistency across content types and publishing teams.

The redesign introduced a contemporary visual language, enhanced editorial storytelling, improved mobile experiences, and a flexible framework designed to support content creation at scale. The result is a more engaging and accessible platform that helps Wells Fargo communicate its purpose, values, and impact through meaningful, human-centered storytelling.
